During the first term of the school year 2011-2012 a group of first class students worked on the project ?Coins and papermoney in Greece: from ancient to modern times. The teacher responsible for the supervision and realization of the project was the economist Panagiota Roussa. The students found information and presented coins and papermoney which people used in Greece in ancient times, Vyzantine times, during the Turkish occupation , the 19th, the 20th century, as well as the transition from drachmas to euros. Finally the students designed and presented their own coins. Students participating in this project went also on a trip to the mint and the monetary museum in Ioannina.
